For the more adventurous at heart, and those that may not be making the trip by road to these beautiful places!

Departing Strahan we climb to summit the mountains embracing Tasmania’s west coast, from the dense temperate rainforest we’ll enter the domain of Tasmania’s Central Highlands with rugged mountainous vistas as far as the eye can reach.

On our way to Derwent Bridge, we’ll see famous landmarks like Frenchmans Cap and Lake St Clair, craggy peaks and high mountain plains of the wilderness area, before heading south to Derwent Bridge. Here we’ll land and let you experience the beauty of helicopter travel which allows you to virtually land everywhere giving a unique sensation of being alone in the world.

Derwent Bridge is home to The Wall in the Wilderness, a work in progress by artist Greg Duncan. The wall, made from Huon pine, will consist of 100 hand-carved panels with the subjects reflecting both historic and present-day events in Tasmania. Once we take off we’ll set course for the world-renowned Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. From the top of the mountains to the deep gorge you’ll experience something you’ll never forget.

This flight can be catered to include a stop-over at Cradle Mountain at an additional cost (please note it does not include wall entry). From Cradle Mountain we will set course back to Strahan via the King River, we will arrive in Strahan where we will leave you to enjoy a beautiful day after your awesome experience in our comfortable helicopter.
